Young Drums UPROOT event : 6/21
We will meet and park at a common location in Milwaukee at 9:20. We’ll carpool in my sweet toadstool of a car (named Christopher) to Eagle, Wisconsin, where there is a stretch of the Ice Age Trail that is choked with garlic mustard.
Garlic mustard sounds delicious, but it is a useless plant, to animals and humans, and will choke whatever forest floor it lands on. It will kill native plants, upset ecosystems, and when I volunteer for the Ice Age Trail’s land management events, often one of the items on the to-do list is “pull garlic mustard”
ONLY 4 SPOTS AVAILABLE
the $ to RSVP is to cover gas
Bring something to drink and rain gear (we’ll go no matter the weather): for lunch we’ll be wholly Wisconsin babes and stop at Culver’s (if you’re vegetarian, they have a truly yummy Harvest burger)
I’d guess we’d be back in MKE at 1:00-1:30
Yay!
